Public Transit in Harrison Hot Springs
Harrison Hot Springs is a small community, so public transit is more limited than what you’ll find in larger Fraser Valley cities. However, BC Transit Route 71 (Agassiz–Harrison) provides scheduled service connecting Harrison Hot Springs with Agassiz and Chilliwack.
Route 71 – Agassiz–Harrison
Route 71 is the main public transit route serving Harrison Hot Springs. It runs between Harrison Hot Springs, Agassiz and Downtown Chilliwack, with stops along the way in communities including Rosedale.
The route provides an option for residents who need to get to Agassiz for shopping, appointments and services, or into Chilliwack for work, school, shopping and other connections.

Hospital & Emergency Care

Harrison Swimming Options
Swimming in Harrison Hot Springs
Swimming is one of the big advantages of living in Harrison Hot Springs, with options ranging from the public beaches on Harrison Lake to warm mineral water and nearby lakes in Sasquatch Provincial Park.
Harrison Lake & Harrison Beach
The main public waterfront along Esplanade Avenue offers sandy beach areas and designated swimming areas on Harrison Lake. The lake is glacier-fed, so the water can be quite cold even during the summer, and weather and water conditions can change quickly.
Harrison Lagoon
The lagoon beside the main beach provides a more sheltered and shallow area for swimming and wading. It can be particularly convenient for families with younger children. Water quality is monitored, so it’s worth checking for any current swimming advisories before heading into the water.
Rendall Park
Rendall Park has a sandy beach and a designated, cordoned-off swimming area, along with picnic areas and washrooms. It’s another option for a beach day without having to leave the Village.
Harrison Mineral Baths – Public Mineral Pool
For warm water rather than a traditional swimming experience, the public mineral pool is located right in the Village at 101 Hot Springs Road. It is an indoor, hot-spring-fed pool and is available to residents and visitors for a fee.
Harrison Hot Springs Resort Pools
The Harrison Hot Springs Resort has five mineral pools, including indoor and outdoor pools, family-friendly areas and an adults-only pool. These pools are generally reserved for registered resort guests rather than general public day use.
Hicks Lake & Deer Lake – Sasquatch Provincial Park
Just north of Harrison Hot Springs, Sasquatch Provincial Park has several swimming areas. Hicks Lake and Deer Lake are relatively warm during the summer and both have sandy beaches. They’re also popular for paddling, boating, picnicking and camping.
Green Point – Harrison Lake
Green Point is another swimming option within Sasquatch Provincial Park, located on the east side of Harrison Lake. It provides a more natural, day-use setting away from the Village waterfront.
Harrison Lake Inflatable Waterpark
During the summer season, Harrison WaterSports operates a large inflatable waterpark on Harrison Lake at 100 Esplanade Avenue. It’s more of an active water attraction than a traditional swimming area, with scheduled sessions and water-safety equipment provided.
A Note for Home Buyers
If swimming is important to you, Harrison gives you several very different choices. You can walk down to the Village beach, use the lagoon, head to the warm mineral pool, or drive a few minutes north to the lakes in Sasquatch Provincial Park. Keep in mind that Harrison Lake is cold and conditions can change quickly, and seasonal water-quality advisories can occasionally affect swimming areas.
